HONG KONG, September 6, 2006: Nominations are now open for the first Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) awards in mainland China. The awards recognize progressive semiconductor companies that have enabled mainland China’s design engineers to develop more sophisticated electronic products.
The mainland China ACE awards () are sponsored by Electronic Engineering Times-China (EE Times-China) magazine and website, published by a joint venture between Global Sources (NASDAQ-GS: GSOL) and CMP. They complement CMP’s EE Times ACE awards in the US, now in its third year.
EE Times-China publisher, Mark A. Saunderson, said: “Thanks to unwavering support provided by both local and international semiconductor vendors, mainland China’s design engineers are driving innovation faster than ever before.

A panel of industry experts will choose winners for Company of the Year awards, while public voting will determine winners for Product of the Year. EE Times-China content development team will select the Editors’ Choice award winner. Winners will be announced at the ACE awards ceremony during the 12th International IC Conference & Exhibition in Shenzhen, scheduled to be held on March 5-6, 2007.
